Dara Audu Dung has been laid to rest at family burial ground , Kwogo-Hoss Riyom LGA of Plateau State on Friday, 25th April, 2025 after a funeral service at COCIN LCC Chamber, behind Air force Girls Military School, Jos Plateau State.
Late Dara Audu Dung died at 69. He was born on the 31st December, 1956 and died on the 19th of April, 2025 and buried on Friday 25th April, 2025 before a large sympathisers who thronged the church at the burial site in Kwogo-Hoss of Riyom LGA.
A bossom friend of Barr. Andrawus Maikai Kam, the Chief Registrar of the Plateau State High Court of Justice witnessed a large contingent of sympathisers from the court and his friends to pay their last respect for the deceased.
Late Dara Audu Dung was born to the family of Dung Kusah and Ngo Hudung Nyanggi, both of blessed memory in Kwogo-Hoss village of Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State on the 31st December, 1956. Dara Dung attended Ra-Hoss Primary School for his elementary education and worked with Bepco Construction Company that built Jos Main Market Terminus, the Jos Steel Rolling Mill Company and the Julius Berger Company.
He later started his private business at the building material market where he was working till his brief illness which eventually took his life.
He was married to his lovely wife Mrs. Sarah Gyang of Kwok village of Barkin Ladi LGA in 1978 and later solemnized according to COCIN doctrine in 2024. He was baptised in 2024 and is blessed with five (5) children and seven (7) grand children. His Children are Mr. Victor Audu Dung, Mrs Mildred Bamaiyi, Mr. Dalyop Audu Dung, (Late), Mrs Simi Philip and Mr. Samuel Audu Dung.
Officiating ministers at the burial service were Rev. Moses Kumdam, Rev. Simeon Tesse Kaase and Pastor Kikshak Bupwatda.
In his sermon at the funeral service titled "ThebEnd is Better Than the Beginning"by Rev Simon Tesse Kaase quoted from Psalms 9:10-14 ...The length of our days is seventy years or eighty years, teaches us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. The Reverend thanked God for giving Dara Audu Dung the golden opportunity to repent, get baptised and solemnised his wedding in 2024 ,thereby ending well. He said Baba ended well, which is better than the beginning.
Rev Simeon Tesse Kaase also admonished believers to be responsible always because all the years you live are full of challenges, especially now that we have insecurity ravaging us.He urged the sympathisers to be closer to God Almighty always as we are all on the queue of death because we know not the day nor hour.
Speaking to the family of Late Dara Audu Dung, the Reverend prayed that may continue to comfort them and to the church the death of Dara is a huge loss but the Lord is near to the broken hearted.
Testimonies given by the wife and relatives described Dara Audu Dung as unassuming, responsible, hardworking and being his neighbours keeper. She thanked Barr Andrawus Maikai Kam, the Chief Registrar of the Plateau State High Court of Justice for his generosity to the family and mentioned a particular occasion where the CR dashed them portion of his land for fencing their house.
