Governor of Bauchi State, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has commended the United States government towards the fight against Coronavirus Pandemic. The governor made this commendation in a telephone chat with the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Her Excellency, Ambassador Mary Leonard.
The governor appreciated her support and assistance to Nigerian government in the ongoing fight against the COVID-19 in the country.
Governor intimated her on the US government's interventions and its efforts towards addressing gaps and areas of further engagements in fighting the spread of the corona virus.
He also commended the efforts of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Nation’s Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in the state for their support to overcome their challenges.
Ambassador Leonard noted with satisfaction that the exemplary leadership of Governor Bala worth emulating by others, and expressed confidence in his administration’s ability in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.
The ambassador extended a goodwill message to the governor on behalf of the government and people of the United States.
