The Deputy Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly,Rt. Hon. Sale Shehu Yipmong has called on the people of Kanam and Dengi Constituency in particular to comply and obey the directive of the Plateau State Government for a total lockdown. He urged his constituents to comply with the rules and regulations of the lockdown as directed by State Governor Barr Simon Bako Lalong or risk convictions.
Yipmong disclosed this to NewsGate Magazine in Dengi while observing and ensuring the total compliance of the State Government directive.
In the same vain,the member representing the good people of Kantana State Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon Ismaila Bala Noma said the people of Kanam and the Kantana Constituency should not be left behind in complying with the Government directives.
Also the Executive Chairman of Kanam Local Government Council, Hon Abbas Adamu Wokdug called on the people of Kanam to maintain law and order as tomorrow will be different and better. Wokdug made this statement in his residence in Dengi when a team of Journalists paid him a visit to monitor the compliance of the Government directive for a total lockdown against COVID-19 Pandemic.
The Council Chairman assured the people of kanam of his assistance to ensure a total lockdown and all defaulters of the law to be brought to justice, as a mobile court headed by his worship Justice Eric Naron of the Dengi Magistrate Court,while Barr Dashan D David and Barr S O Emmanuel from the State Counsel convicted 20 people with their motorcycles for violating the law and they were all found guilty of the charges and convicted.
