Hon. Dan Manjang,the Plateau State Commissioner of information and Communications and 12 others from Plateau were admitted into the membership of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) in Bauchi,the Bauchi State Capital on Wednesday 19th May, 2021 amidst pomp and pageantry.
The Honourable Commissioner was inducted alongside others at the 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Institute at Command Guest Inn, Bauchi, Bauchi state on 19th May, 2021.
The Induction witnessed the presence of NIPR Practitioners from different walks of life cutting across the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory.
Speaking earlier, the President of NIPR, Mallam Mukhtar Zubairo Sirajo, fnipr admonished the newly inducted members to be true Ambassadors of the Institute. He also congratulated them for making it into the institute.
Mallam Sirajo admonished the new inductees to make their presence relevant and actively participate in the institute's activities through their various State chapters.
The President, who doubles as the Chairman of the Board of Governing Council of the Institute was ably represented by the Vice President of the institute, Assistant Comptroller General of Custom Adewale Adeniyi.
Administering the oath, the Acting Registrar of the Institute, Mr. Samuel Oseloka charged the inductees to be excellent and professional in discharging their duties as Public Relations Practioners.
He also added that the new inductees should not be satisfied in their recent status but should strive to grow in the profession.
The Honorable commissioner was inducted to the status of an Associate Member of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (ANIPR).
Also present at the event are members of NIPR Council, Chairpersons of various State Chapters,Fellows and members of the institute, top government officials amongst many others.
