The Executive Chairman of the Plateau State Local Government Service Commission (LGSC), Chief Barr. Robert Taple JP, the Waziristan Mupun has commended the Plateau Publishers Association (PPA) for doing remarkably well in dispensing information to the people of Plateau State, the nation and the world at large.The Wazin Mupun added that its unity, focus and other activities are worth emulation.
Taple made the commendation after receiving the mantle of leadership as the Executive Chairman to pilot the affairs of the commission Monday,10th May ,2021 at the commission's conference hall in the presence of Directors of Personnel Management,Directors of Finance and Suppliers of the 17 LGCs, staff of the commission, Permanent Secretary, Commissioners 1&2 of the commission,Part time members and the gentlemen of the press.
Chief Robert Taple hinted that the leadership of the PPA is doing extremely well.
While responding the PPA Chairman, Shabul Mazadu, thanked him for being media friendly since his first tenure as Chairman of the commission and commended his efforts of overseeing the affairs of the commission meritoriously.
In his remarks, Chief Amb Nanyah Andrew Daman(JP ),the Group Managing Editor of the NewsGate Magazine urged the Executive Chairman and his Commission to assist in speaking to the 17 LGC Directors of Personnel Management and the Directors of Finance and Supplies to settle the liabilities of Publishers and Journalists in the State.
Daman joined other speakers in commending Miskoom Henry Lankwap, the Permanent Secretary of the LGSC and the Acting Chairman of the Commission for holding forth meticulously and effectively during the absence of the Chairman and his Commissioners.
In his response, the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) President Comrade Chief Makwin Arandong said before now,NULGE was unhappy with the Permanent Secretary but now realised that he is their best friend and always protecting their interests.
The NULGE President appealed that the new Commission should help in returning to the Commission Salaries of the 17 LGC staff into one poll.
Arandong also appealed that LGC workers be promoted to Grade Level 16 and that LGC workers from GL 08 to 10 be allowed to move the State Civil Service to augment the dart of middle cadre in the service.
